Biografie
Born in Basel, Switzerland, in 1982, Veronika started playing the violin at the age of 6. In 2001 she won Basel’s „Battle of the Bands“ competition with „Twice“, a singer-songwriter folk-duo with her twin sister Patrizia. That prize allowed her to record her first CD „Twice Impossible“, including 12 original songs.
After graduation from music college Veronika began her studies at the Hochschule Luzern- Music, focusing on jazz vocals and received her honor’s degree in 2008
Her interest in Irish folk music brought her to Ireland where she performed with Irish folk and jazz musicians many times.
In 2006 Veronika was invited by the Sligo Jazz Project to teach their vocal master class as part of the faculty of international jazz musicians like Rufus Reid (acoustic bass), Michael Buckley (sax), Greg Burk (piano).
With Zurich based pianist Chris Wiesendanger she formed the band „Ndiigo“, joined by Toni Schiavano on bass and Fabian Bürgi on drums. They play but Veronika’s original material which was released on their first CD „The Topography Of My Heart“ in September 2009.
Veronika is leadsinger besides Nina Gutknecht in drummer Lukas Mantel's band Quetzal-CD release 2010, "Quetzal-5:45".

Since October 2010 Stalder is violinist and singer in Shirley Grimes' new band.
