Internationally acclaimed Swiss singer and multi-instrumentalist Veronika Stalder is melting jazz, ethnic singing, folk as well as classical into her unique vocal style. To connect cultures and people through music is her passion.
She is the lead singer of the Armenian-Russian Ethno Jazz Band „Authentic Light Orchestra“ and has won several prizes, amongst the Russian World Music Award 2016 and Tsovit Tsov for best interpretation of an Armenian folk song 2014. Her own group „Veronika's Ndiigo“ is a wonderfully sounding melting pot of singer songwriter with senegalese Griot music.
Veronika's true passion is the art of improvisation, which she masters with playful ease. Since the age of 6 she has played violin and her numerous visits to Ireland has helped her develop her gift for folk and traditional music.
With her twin sister Patrizia Stalder she won the national bandcompetiton "battle of the bands“, as the singer-songwriter-folk duo „Twice“ with age of 18.
She has a master's degree in Education and has toured extensively in Europe, USA, Middle- & South Americas, Russia, Ireland, Armenia, Japan, Germany, Korea, India.
